The solar oven has helped thousands of people cook their food and live healthier lives. The open source software community has developed hundreds of great programs that are free for everybody else to use. We all know that open source works for software, so, why can't we apply the same concept to sharing our ideas on solar, wind, and other renewable energies? The result will better technology that everybody else could use for free or minimal cost.

Local Politician Resume Database

Many people vote for a particular party when it comes to local elections for judges and other city officials. The only thing that most voters base their decision on is how some strangers last name looks a sign on the side of the road. Why couldn't each city just collect the resumes of each candidate on the ballot and post them online?

There are a few hurdles in doing this. One thing is the inconsistancy of each city's ability to publish this information online so that it is easy to use.
